Playback Speed Control (0.3X~2.0X)

This feature allows you to play video and audio faster or slower than normal. It’s not only possible to adjust the playback speed from 0.3X to 2.0X normal speed in steps of 0.1X, but PopPlayer also offers this speed controlled playback smoothly in Full HD video (1080P).

Bookmarks

Quickly mark an important section of a video to easily re-visit it. PopPlayer supports an unlimited number of bookmarks in each of video or audio file.

Repeat Section

You can select a specific video section you want to watch repeatedly by setting Start and End positions where you like and then conveniently study it using the Repeat Section feature.

Sound Effects

EarComfort is a unique feature of PopPlayer that makes sound smoother and more comfortable when listening for a long time so that speed control doesn’t hurt or bother your ears. Cinema Sound is another sound enhancement for surround sound. Both can be selected at playback but are only available when earphones are in use.

Gestures

Gestures in PopPlayer offer quick and useful playback control of volume, brightness, and seek as well as playback speed with simple up/down or left/right swipes on the screen during playback.   • Q. Can I delete videos or audio?

    Yes, to delete video or audio:

    1. In the file list, long press the title to show the sub menu and select delete.
    2. The file will be deleted completely once "OK" is selected.
    3. The selected files are deleted one at the time.

  • Q. I’m seeing broken captions. How can I fix them?

    Please tap [Menu > Settings() and look at Language to check that the correct language is set from the supported options on your device.

  • Q. Does PopPlayer play Full HD videos?

    Yes, PopPlayer supports high quality Full HD (1080P) with speed control and much smoother, seamless quality. Speed control can be set from 0.3X ~ 2.0X normal speed in steps of 0.1X.

  • Q. How can I use the PopPlayer Widget?

    The PopPlayer widget is a convenient tool for controlling audio playback, like a mini App.

    Once you install the widget, you can easily adjust playback speed or pause audio playing in the background of your device. To install the Widget, long press on the home screen tap to add Widgets, and then search for the PopPlayer icon to add it.

  • Q. How can I add a Bookmark during playback?

    Tap the Bookmark () at any time to set a bookmark during playback. PopPlayer supports an unlimited number of bookmarks for each video file. You can also delete any bookmark in the bookmark list () by tapping the trash can.

  • Q. How can I use the Cloud feature?

    With PopPlayer’s Cloud () feature, you can easily upload or download any media files in Dropbox. PopPlayer currently only supports Dropbox in the Cloud so at least one Dropbox account is required to use PopPlayer’s Cloud feature.

    You can use the Cloud service to connect PopPlayer to your Dropbox account. On the main tab of the PopPlayer app, go to [Settings() > Dropbox connect > Access your Dropbox account > Allow]. The Uploaded/Downloaded file list can be checked in [My device >popplayer_upload or popplayer_download].

  • Q. Can I watch a video on the internet with PopPlayer?

    Yes, please select the streaming video what you want to see, tap the video to play in the web browser and then tap the PopPlayer icon in the Playable media list to link the file with PopPlayer.

    Your visited URL history for online streaming will also be automatically saved in [Menu > Streaming ()] for quick re-access. You can even customize the titles of the streaming content.

  • Q. The play screen suddenly quit while PopPlayer was running.
    How can I fix this?

    The problem might be caused by an improper installation of PopPlayer or a bug.
    Please completely remove PopPlayer and re-install it. If the trouble is not resolved by doing this, please e-mail us the details of the trouble you are having.

  • Q. How can I add a video to my Favorites?

    You can add any video to Favorites by tapping to toggle the icon in the file list. Your favorite files are stored in [Menu > Favorites].

    Tapping the heart again will remove the content from your Favorites list.

  • Q. Which video play settings can I change?

    Tap [Menu > Settings] to change any Video setting including Aspect Ratio, Replay, Continue Playback, and Seek Interval.

  • Q. Can I change the caption size or color?

    Yes, you can customize the size and color of subtitles in the [Settings() > Subtitle Size / Subtitle Color].

  • Q. How can I use the Repeat Section feature?

    Repeat Section () is a feature that allows you to mark the start and end of part of a video, and then play that marked section repeatedly.

    You can set the clip to be repeated by first tapping to set the Start position and tapping a second time to set the End position. When you want to cancel the replay settings and watch video normally again, please tap the Repeat Section icon again.

  • Q. Can audio files be played separately?

    Audio files can be separately accessed by tapping [Menu > Audio()]. This menu only shows the audio files on your device.
